Check connectivity to the server
Check whether your device is connected to the server or not. For this, you need the device must be connected to the internet.
Try mail via webmail: If you are not being able to send mail via mail app from Windows 10 OS, then open webmail and enter the same login credentials there. If you logged in successfully, then there is some problem with the app not with the Charter mail server.
Try sending messages from the different device: This is another method to fix the problem of Charter email sync issue. Send and receive messages from another device. If the same problem persists, then call your email service provider.

Open ‘Start’ page and click on ‘Search’ items.
Open firewall settings.
Click on ‘Turn off security profiles’.
Check the Charter mail now. If it is syncing, then it means the problem lies within defender security. Turn on the firewall for your Charter mail app now.
Open start menu again and click on ‘Windows defender security’.
Click on ‘Allow app for a firewall’.
Checkmark the box given in front of this option.
Disable third-party antivirus program: If you have installed any third party antivirus program like Avast, Avira, AVG or quick heal, then it may block your email app due to security concern or to protect your computer from a hacker. Here, we want to mention that no doubt this is a drawback of these antivirus programs, but they actually protect your computer against viruses. To check whether the program is creating a problem in syncing the mail, disable Antivirus for some time and turn it on again.
If you email app starts working normally after disabling the Antivirus program, then it means your antivirus software is preventing the app from updating. In the meanwhile don’t try opening any new attachment from the inbox folder of Charter Email.
