If you have been facing the problem in sync the mail on windows 10 app, then it would be very annoying for you and its justified from your point of view.
Today, we are going to mention some steps which will help you in fixing the SBCGlobal sync problem on mail app.
Before starting with the troubleshooting steps, update the OS to the later version first if it is obsolete one. If the problem still exists, then follow the steps mentioned below.
Checking connectivity to the server
Check whether the device is connected to the internet or not: To send or receive mail, you require internet connection on your device.
Try sending mail via web: If you have supported internet browser, then open the sign-in page of SBCGlobal on it and try sending messages from there.
Try another device for sending the mail: If you are using another device having same configurations, then check your mail on that device. Sometimes, there may be a problem with the device. If this doesn’t fix your problem, call your email service provider.
Check the email server status on service provider webpage: If the problem still exists on your device, then we recommend you to check the status of your SBCGlobal email server on service provider page.
Check security software
Sometimes, firewall and antivirus installed on your computer may prevent the email program from opening properly. You may report the problem in syncing the mail with a firewall. To get out of this problem, turn off the security software for a short while and check if the problem is resolved or not. If the problem still encounters, then check the network policies. These may sometimes block the email provider due to a security issue. Contact administrator in this regard.
Turn off Windows defender security
This is pre-installed security software in windows 10. If any alternate antivirus is not installed on your computer, then it will start protecting your system. Turn off this defender for the temporary time period.
Open start icon and click on ‘Defender security’ center option.
Open Fire and network protection.
Turn off all protective security profiles.
If you are able to sync your SBCmail now, then turn on the firewall for your email app after this step.
Steps to allow windows firewall for Mail and calendar app: If you find that after disabling the firewall on the system, you are able to sync the mail, then allow the mail and calendar app for the firewall.
Over to ‘start’ and click on ‘Windows defender security’ center.
Click on the option which says, ‘Allow an app through a firewall’. Change the preferences.
Click on the checkbox.
Turn off all third-party antivirus software
If you have installed any third party antivirus program on your device, then it may create a problem in syncing the mail with the server. We don’t recommend you to uninstall the antivirus software permanently, but disable for few minutes and notice the change. If you find that the SBCGlobal mail starts syncing, then it means your antivirus software was preventing your app to sync over the internet. In this way, you can turn on syncing for your email app.
Note: While you have turned off your antivirus software, don’t try opening any new attachment from an email.
